A friend has started a journey and I find myself traveling down a road along side of him. Some would say we are approaching our mid-life crisis; I see myself embracing it. <br /><br />My crisis is the same as many. I am looking at my life and seeing the direction of which I have come and notice that the road is broken and not well planned. Moving myself 180 degrees, I look forward and wonder if the road will ever clear or if I will stumble along from one section to another.<br /><br />My friend's crisis is centered around his belief system and whether God is real or imagined. This is a road many have travelled before and one that I have found myself on at several points in my life. This is fairly significant to my friend due to his occupation.... an Ordained Minister. Now, one thing to remember about any one who has taken on the "call of the Lord", is that this person is also person with fears, joy, and problems, just like the rest of us.... with the exception that when their beliefs become an issue, it is both personal and professional. One thing, us normal people, don't have to deal with. If I say, "I am not sure who God is...", it does not affect how I design or build anything in my 7-5 work week. Not true for my friend.
